Privacy Policy

WorthSafe (“the app,” “we,” “us”) is built on a simple principle: your financial information is yours alone. We do not operate servers that store your data, we cannot see what you enter, and we never sell or share your information. This policy explains how that works.

The short version

We do not collect your personal or financial data.
Everything you enter stays on your device and in your own private iCloud account.
We have no servers that receive, store, or process your data.
We use no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no data brokers.
The app makes one anonymous network request — to fetch currency exchange rates — which contains no information about you.

What data the app stores, and where

All information you enter into WorthSafe — assets, liabilities, valuations, documents, photos, insurance policies, contacts, nominees, and settings — is stored locally on your device and in your own private iCloud account (Apple’s CloudKit private database), which syncs across your devices. This data is held within your Apple account. We do not have, and cannot obtain, access to it. We operate no backend servers and keep no copy of your information. Its storage is governed by Apple’s iCloud terms and privacy policy.

Sign in with Apple

WorthSafe uses Sign in with Apple as its only sign-in method. When you sign in, Apple may provide the app with your name and an email address (or a private relay address if you choose to hide your email). This information is stored only in your private iCloud account to personalize your experience. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We maintain no user accounts on any server of ours.

The one network request we make

To convert between currencies, the app retrieves daily exchange rates from a third-party rate provider (open.er-api.com). This request contains only a currency code (e.g. “USD”). It includes no personal information, account identifier, device identifier, or financial data. Retrieved rates are cached in your own iCloud so the app works offline.

What we do not do

We do not collect, receive, or store your data on any server.
We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or attribution services.
We do not track you or link your activity to third-party data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone.

Subscriptions

WorthSafe offers a free tier (your first 10 assets and liabilities) and an optional auto-renewable subscription to unlock unlimited items. All purchases, billing, and renewals are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. Apple’s handling of purchase data is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Your control over your data

Sync: Manage iCloud in your device’s Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ iCloud.
Delete everything: In the app you can use the Settings ▸ Security & Privacy ▸ Delete All My Data option to permanently erases your WorthSafe data from your device and your iCloud.
Estate access: WorthSafe provides guidance to help you set up Apple’s Legacy Contact feature. This is an Apple account-level feature; WorthSafe does not configure or manage it.

App security

WorthSafe offers an optional App Lock using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Your iCloud data is protected by Apple’s iCloud security.

Children

WorthSafe is intended for adults managing their personal finances and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children — and, as described above, we do not collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we will update this policy and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in the app’s App Store listing.
